Not every operation belongs on a production CNC machine. Our Manual Machining Department runs a manual lathe, an NC mill and a ProtoTrak lathe for drilling, tapping, facing, counterboring and other secondary operations, plus quick one-off parts and modifications that would take longer to program than to cut. Keeping this work off the production machines frees our CNC machining centers and lathes for complex parts, which shortens lead times on every job in the shop. Manual work is held to the same print and inspection requirements as everything else, under our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
